I am a PhD student at the Iwanicki Lab. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana and an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Vaccinology with training in immunology, infectiology, clinical vaccinology, and vaccine research across five European universities.
As part of my master’s training, I joined the Vaccine Development Center, Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine, developing a recombinant protein vaccine candidate targeting Chagas disease, gaining hands-on experience in molecular cloning, protein expression in yeast/bacteria, large-scale fermentation, purification, adjuvant formulation, and preclinical immunogenicity studies in murine models.
Now bridging my vaccinology background to cancer research, I am interested in exploring cancer biology, tumor-immune interactions and developing innovative cancer therapies. My long-term goals include contributing to translational strategies that improve cancer treatment and patient outcomes.
